Meet Dixie!

Hi everyone! Meet Dixie!

If you don't remember, Dixie was found running loose near Elysian. Nobody came forward to claim her.

Right after she entered WCAHS' care

Dixie is a 2 year old hound mix. She loves to play and chase things. And she loves attention!

She's a bit of a troublemaker (loves the garbage) and is a total bed hog.

She also has the famous feature of all hounds--barking!

"But barking is so fun..."

Dixie loves long walks, so would be the perfect companion for the active family. She doesn't quite understand that she has a big body, so would do better with a family with older kids or a place experienced with larger dogs. With her energy and intelligence, she would make a great hunting partner.

 Dixie is house trained and does great in a kennel. Although at first she was a little wary of men, she's since become a total people lover. She does have a little separation anxiety.

"It's just because I'm sad that you're not here anymore!"
