Everyone loves a happy ending! Here are some WCAHS alum with their new forever families!
A former puppy mill dog, Pepper (formerly Monique) was adopted by a little old lady. After her owner's health took a downward turn, Pepper entered WCAHS's care. Although it was expected that she would have many issues, Pepper made herself at home with her foster family, who immediately made the decision to adopt her. As her now-forever mom says, "She has truly chosen her family." |
Lola was an owner surrender. She was quickly scooped up by her forever people, who very clearly love her! |
Loki was picked up as a stray when he was 5 weeks old. Here he is, in his forever home!
Fred was just waiting for the right people to come along. After much deliberation, they finally decided to bring Fred home! Doesn't he look content? |
Monkey arrived in WCAHS foster care as a scraggly kitten who needed to be bottle fed. He grew into his gorgeous coat and was adopted in December 2012. His new owner calls him a "sweet, goofy cuddle bug." Congrats, Monkey! |
Lucky and her 7 pups were dumped by the side of the road. Lucky was
severely underweight. With food and love, she was able to move on to the
next stage of her life--just being a young dog! |
Beauty (now Angus, after Merida's horse in the movie Brave) was a former pony ride pony. He arrived at WCAHS with
overgrown feet and untrusting of people. He now has his own kid who
loves to feed him treats and cover him with glitter. |
The largest of the Lucky 7 puppies, Tank (formerly Chance) was a trooper at the Waseca County Fair, winning the hearts of everyone--including his forever family! |
Boo was a stray found living in the Waseca trailer park. When he came into foster care, he was found to have a minor form of cerebellar hypoplasia, which caused him to wobble as he walked. A good diet helped improve his gaits (although not permanently fix them), and his funny personality helped him get adopted! (And what a great picture his new mom took!) |
Bandit was a foster fail--his foster mom fell in love with his good
looks and dashing personality, and decided she wanted to keep him :) Isn't he gorgeous? |
Tank was at the impound in Burnsville. WCAHS picked him up when he was scheduled to be euthanized. Now he lives the life of affluence and spoiled doggy-ness. He's a great rep for the pit bull's friendliness and suitability as a family dog! Who wouldn't love that face? |
Zeus was one of the first kittens WCAHS took in this year. Look how cute he is, all grown up in his forever home! |
