Pet of the Week: Percy

Our pet of the week is the precocious Percy! (Named for Harvin, Shelley, Weasley, or Jackson? That's up to you to decide.)

Percy was a stray who came to WCAHS in mid-August. He is coming up on about a year old. We learned right away that he does not react well to oral antibiotics--he was very, very sick after being neutered, and got familiar with the kind vet team at Waseca Vet. (Thanks, Waseca Vet, for helping Percy in his recovery!) He perked back up after treatment, and is now a happy, healthy cat.

Percy is very friendly. He loves to talk, and chatters around the house. He gets along well with other cats (although an older cat might not appreciate his youthful energy.) He is getting used to dogs, and is tolerant of children. He spends his time playing with other WCAHS fosters Diesel and Cleo, who live with him. One cat will run up the stairs, get "booped" by the others at the top of the stairs, and then all will race to the bottom. They love fun!

Percy is a cuddly cat. He loves being snuggled like a stuffed animal. He will allow himself to be carried around the house like a baby.

Percy's a flashy little tiger, with three white feet and an all-white leg. He enjoys his tummy rubbed, and will roll around until someone pets him. (He's actually rolled off a couple pieces of furniture in his quest for tummy pats!)

If you're interested in adopting Percy, e-mail wcahsadoptions@gmail.com and put PERCY in the subject line. Through the end of this month, his adoption fee is only $25. Although Percy Harvin is no longer a Viking, you can still play for the home team by bringing home your very own Percy!
