Lucky Update: Week 3

It's been just a little over three weeks since WCAHS received a call about a thin mama dog and her puppies dumped by the side of the road. Since then, Lucky has been working on regaining weight (thanks to Tractor Supply Co., who is sponsoring her feed bill.)

The pups all survived the fair--which is great, because they have all been adopted! Hooray! Three pups have already gone to their new homes. The other four will go soon!

They're playing "Tug of Four," haha.

Lucky visited the vet this week. She weighed in at 41 pounds. We estimate that she weighed less than 30 when she was first picked up, so this is great news! The vet said she should weigh closer to 50 pounds, so she has a little ways to go, but she's getting there!
