What's Going On Around WCAHS?

You may have noticed lots of posts from us this week! It sure has been busy around here!

With spring finally showing up, we're starting our feral cat trapping program up again. We'll be live trapping cats around Waseca between now and May 3. The cats we trap will be spayed/neutered and vaccinated by MNSNAP on May 3 and 4. After that, we'll be looking for farm homes for them. The cats we trap are generally too wild to live indoors as pets, but would love to live inside your barn or outbuildings. Feral cats are placed free of charge (although donations are always accepted.)

If you know of any feral cat colonies, please contact us at wcahsadoptions@gmail.com (or call the number on the flier above.) We also need volunteers, to set and check traps. Let us know if you're interested!

We've also got another Facebook auction going until Saturday, May 4. Lots of great stuff to bid on! Click here to go directly to our auction album.

We still need a new foster home for Maverick. He needs to be in a new home by mid-May. If you have room in your home for a lovely longhair, please let us know! (If you want to adopt him, even better!) Maverick is about a year old, neutered, and the sweetest kitty you'll ever meet.
We're looking for donations of new or used collapsible wire crates for foster families and to be used at adoption events. We would also take cat taxis and outdoor kennels. Remember, all donations can be written off on your taxes!
We're starting to plan for Bark in the Park on August 3. It'll be at Clear Lake Park. It should be a fun day for the whole family (including furkids!) If you have experience in advertising, marketing, or sponsorships, please let us know! We're also looking for donations for prize drawings, people to work the event, and anyone with special skills (like face painting, art projects for kids/pets, etc.) E-mail wcahsfundraising@gmail.com for more information!

That's about it for this week. Stay tuned for more WCAHS-related news in the future!
