Waseca County Fair

It's Monday, and that means Fair Week is over!  We were invited to fill the space in the FFA barn formerly known as the Puppy Place. We had a great space right near the fair entrance, and met some great folks from the Waseca FFA. Thanks for having us, and we look forward to seeing you again next year!

We brought a menagerie of animals with us. The Lucky 7 puppies took turns every day, except for Chance, who was a trooper and made it to all five days of the fair.

Chance, Chase, Hope, Grace, Courage, and Faith had a great time meeting all the fair-goers.

Wednesday and Thursday were especially hot, and by Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, the baby animals were exhausted.
Grace thought it was VERY hot!
We appreciate everyone's understanding in regards to the pups' and kittens' naptimes! We know it's disappointing to show up and find that they're on break. But, like human kids, baby animals have to rest too :)

When they weren't resting, the puppies had a great time meeting new people and educating the public on pit bulls and canine care.

Here's Grace, getting dressed up to be a canine ambassador. She put on a big girl "Adopt Me" vest and took a walk around the fairgrounds with WCAHS president Nicki.

I think every puppy except Chance had at least one application submitted for him/her. WCAHS volunteers will work hard this week to get all applications looked at and let potential adoptees know whether they'll be welcoming a new dog or cat into their homes soon! The puppies have a vet appointment later this week; after that, the larger pups should be able to be weaned.

The kittens had a long (but fun) week as well! They did their best to keep cool too.

They loved all the attention!

TC was quite the popular guy at the fair. We're just sorry we don't have 100 of him so everyone who applied could take him home!
"I'm TC, and I'm great. TC stands for 'Totally Cool.' What? They told you it stood for 'Terrible Cat'? Who told you that? Lies, all of 'em!"
Sheldon, Penny, TC, Frick, Frack, Petunia, Buffy, Barney, and Chico were happy to meet all of you!

We had another full-time fair resident with us too--the pony, Beauty.

"That alpaca was weird though."
He had a great time here--he loved standing in a nice cool stall in front of a big fan and a full hay bag.

Our adult dogs popped in from time to time. Chinook the husky was a popular attraction.

 (Maybe it's the eyes!)

His foster brother Hunter was in and out as well. (Sorry, I forgot to take a picture of them together!)

Dixie the hound is still with us. Hopefully she met her forever home this week!

She's such a nice dog, we're continually shocked that she hasn't found "her" people yet!

Grizzly's another great guy who could use some people of his own. How could you not love that gorgeous face?

T-shirts are $10, travel bowls are $5!
We had some stuff to sell at our booth too! Our t-shirts were a big hit, and we sold some travel water bowls too. Thank you to Tom Little and One Little Shirt Shop for setting us up!

Thanks again to everyone who stopped by! If you're interested in submitting an application for any of our pets, or in purchasing a t-shirt or water bowl, shoot an e-mail to wcahsadoptions@gmail.com and someone will get back to you!
